Window patching means a die-cut hole in the box is sealed with a clear PET film. The customer sees the product through the window without opening the box.
How thick is the PET window film?+
Our standard window film is 200 micron clear PET. Thicker film at 250 micron is available for larger windows that need extra rigidity.
Can I cut a window in any shape?+
Yes. We die cut windows in rectangles, circles, ovals, and custom outlines like a brand mark or product silhouette.
Are window boxes food safe?+
Yes when paired with food grade SBS and food safe inks. The PET film is food contact approved.
How big can the window be?+
Up to 60 percent of any single face of the box. Beyond that the box loses structural integrity.
Do window boxes cost more than regular product boxes?+
Yes. Window patching adds about 15 to 20 percent over a standard tuck top product box of the same size and material.
What is the minimum order for window boxes?+
100 units. Window patching has a setup cost that makes very small runs uneconomical.
