The construction rules behind every panel
Tray construction: the base is exactly your inside length and width, and the walls fold up at height plus half a caliper.
The lid is one caliper deeper than the base so its tuck drops just inside the front wall.
End walls roll over and lock with a retention flange on the floor. No glue.
Lid wings friction-fit the roll gap, which is why this style is limited to E-flute or F-flute.
Artwork tips for this style
- Bleed is 6mm on corrugated and safe area 4.8mm from every cut and crease.
- Want print inside the lid? Tell us. Inside print needs its own artwork layer.

6 x 4 x 2 inMailer Box dieline questions
Why is this mailer template limited to E-flute or F-flute?+
The lid wings slide into a gap between the outer and inner end walls that is about one board caliper wide. E-flute and F-flute fit. A B-flute wing in a B-flute gap binds and tears.
Does the mailer box need glue?+
No. A roll end tuck top mailer locks itself. It ships flat and folds by hand, so there is no glue seam to fail in transit.
How much room do the rolled end walls take?+
The inner end walls sit inside the box at each end, so allow about two board calipers of length when you size to a product. On E-flute that is roughly 3mm per end.
Is this dieline template really free?+
Yes. Every standard size downloads instantly with no email. The custom-size generator asks for an email before the download so our team can help if you want the box produced.
Can I use this template with another printer?+
Yes. It is a standard SVG with a legend and spec block, so any printer can read it. Board and equipment vary, so verify the dieline with whoever prints the job before production.
