The construction rules behind every panel
Top and bottom panels plus both tucks run off the back column; dust flaps sit on the side panels.
Every panel is the inside dimension plus one board caliper (tube family).
Tuck depth is limited to the inside height minus two calipers so it never bottoms out.
Glue tab is 1/2 in on paperboard and stops at the body height, clear of the flaps.
Artwork tips for this style
- The front panel is fully clean, so it is the place for your hero artwork.
- Keep type 3mm off every crease or it cracks white on the fold.

2 x 2 x 6 inStraight Tuck End dieline questions
When should I choose a straight tuck end over a reverse tuck end?+
When the front face matters most, for example on a shelf or in a premium unboxing. A straight tuck end has no tuck slit on the front. A reverse tuck end usually nests better on the press sheet and costs a little less per unit.
Why are the side panels wider than my measurement?+
Each panel adds one board caliper, which is the thickness the board takes up as it folds. Without it the finished box is undersized and your product will not fit.
Can I add a window to this template?+
Yes. Keep the window at least 6mm from any crease and 8mm from the blank edge, with rounded corners. Send us the artwork and we will check the placement before production.
Is this dieline template really free?+
Yes. Every standard size downloads instantly with no email. The custom-size generator asks for an email before the download so our team can help if you want the box produced.
Can I use this template with another printer?+
Yes. It is a standard SVG with a legend and spec block, so any printer can read it. Board and equipment vary, so verify the dieline with whoever prints the job before production.
